The hotel is ultra-basic with no-frills rooms that are a little noisy due to the hard wood floors. However, the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially after numerous complaints once we all got into the rooms. The service was helpful and friendly, although some staff members handled themselves with grace while others refused to make any allowance for the inconvenience. The location is perfect, being close enough to the airport with Lake Hood just across the street and also only a few hundred yards from the world's busiest seaplane base. The dining was ok but nothing special, offering basic breakfast options. The facilities are bare-bones but functional.
